7 Layer Salad Recipe
This 7 Layer Salad recipe is always a big hit at summer, fall and winter dinner parties. I know many people may think of this as a summer recipe, but it’s a great recipes that can be used all year long! Most of the ingredients you probably already have on hand, while the others will not cost that much to add!
Plus with a little this and that, a little chopping and cutting you’re good to go!
Here’s the ingredients for my 7 Layer Salad Recipe!
This is for the salad dressing: 1 cup buttermilk, 1/2 cup sour cream, 1/4 cup mayonnaise, 3 ounces blue cheese (crumbled 3/4 cup) (optional), Kosher coarse salt and fresh cracked black pepper to taste, I prefer to make it a little thick so add more cream cheese by the tablespoon and the mayonnaise by the teaspoon to reach the consistency you prefer.
The rest is just adding the 7 layers of salad veggies you like plus crumbled bacon and shredded cheese.
We usually add to ours:
- Green/red peppers
- Grape Tomatoes
- Chopped Eggs
- Lettuce
- Peas
- Cheese
- Bacon
- Chopped onion
- Salad dressing (mentioned above)
As you can see based on the following pictures, you can mix up the ingredients to suit your needs:
