Fresh Thyme Farmers Market: What To Expect, Deals & More
A warm welcome for Fresh Thyme Farmer Market customers
The aisles were filled with many shoppers as the doors opened on the newest shopping experience that is Fresh Thyme Farmers Market in East Lansing, Michigan. And after visiting the store myself it is easy to see what all the fuss and excitement is all about. As I entered the grocery store I was not only warmly greeted by store employees, but also the well designed space displaying so many wonderful products from floor to ceiling, was equally inviting. So far we’re off to a great start. Now, what did I do with my shopping list?
Fresh Thyme packs a whole lot of healthy options
Now, I’ve shopped at both Whole Foods Market and Trader Joe’s and if you like or prefer those stores, then I think you’ll like Fresh Thyme too. At first brush, I will say this, the fresh produce is plentiful and less expensive at Fresh Thyme. Plus, I really like the layout of the store because it is well lit, roomy and the fresh vegetable and fruit section is a lot bigger than most grocery stores. And not only is there more fresh, organic and non-GMO offerings, but there is also more variety.
A simple plan, is the best plan
With the opening of Fresh Thyme Farmers Market, going organic just got a lot more assessable and affordable. With Fresh Thyme the fresh fruit and vegetables are the main attraction. That’s certainly a good thing. And with the rising awareness concerning the many health benefits of eating less processed and more natural foods, Fresh Thyme is a welcome alternative. But so often the desire to eat healthy and have access to affordable organic food is financially challenging to say the least. According to Fresh Thyme Farmers Market, their philosophy is to provide organic options and make it affordable to a wide range of customers no matter what your budget. I like that, I like that a lot. I think most would agree that eating healthy shouldn’t be a financial drain on your wallet.
Double Ads, Coupons, Oh my
Wednesday. Don’t make any plans on Wednesday. Why? Well, because it’s Double Ad Wednesday! Every week on Wednesday (only), you will be able to take double advantage of ad deals, this means for one day you’ll get to save on the weekly ad items from the previous week and the new ad deal items for the new week on a single day. Double the sayings!
YES! This is a great way to take advantage of both ads on one day. This way, you won’t have to rush to the store on Tuesday before closing to catch the deals from the ad that’s going to expire soon. I love this feature. This will allow me (and you you as well) to not only save time, but also gas as well, since I’m driving from the West Side of Lansing.
Benefits of Double Ad Days:
- Double Ad Wednesdays ads run eight days, overlapping each week on Wednesday, for one day only, so you get the benefit of two sales ads on one day.
- No more confusion as to when an old ad ends and a new one begins because on Wednesday only, you get the two sales in one day!
- Double Ad Wednesday is double the amount of sales items as the old ad and new ad overlap for one day giving you twice the savings!

Does Fresh Thyme accept coupons
I already know this is probably the first question that popped into your head, especially if you are a shopper who relies on coupons to save money. I asked on their Facebook page, and they noted that they DO accept manufacturer coupons! However, I haven’t been able to track down a coupon policy or further details, but I’m working on it! But this is definitely good to hear that Fresh Thyme Farmer’s Market does accept manufacturer coupons!
The return of the grocery store
When you step into the Fresh Thyme Farmers Market it is almost like stepping back in time, only better. Of course there is the produce, but there is also a butcher shop with great meat selections, many of them organic as well. There is also in-house bakery and diary sections. I also walked through aisles with an extensive beer (both great craft and national brands) wine selections. You’ll also find multiple bulk food items and an impressive vitamin and supplement area too.
I also appreciate Fresh Thyme being a grocer that isn’t trying to be anything other than a grocery store. Fresh Thyme isn’t in the business of selling paint, tools, tires or lumber. Just food and health related products, that’s all. Another plus is no matter what state Fresh Thyme is located in, they do their best to feature and promote products from local in-state producers. In the East Lansing, Michigan store you’ll notice the presence of quite a few Michigan brands. How cool is that? Very cool.
So, if you want a store well stocked with a seemingly endless supply of fresh and organic produce (and so many other healthy options) then it would be hard to do better than Fresh Thyme Farmer Market. Also, make sure you check out Fresh Thyme Farmer Market’s online Weekly Ads for additional savings and weekly specials on lots of your favorite foodstuffs. Hopefully I’ll catch you shopping there soon.

This place sounds amazing!!! I am going to search online to see if there are more of these stores. I love the idea of the double ad Wednesday. That is great!!!
Seems like the type of place that I’d like to shop. That cherry wine caught my attention!
I haven’t been here but it looks like my kind of grocery store for sure,
Too cool! Looks like a great place to shop. I’ll have to see if there’s one near me.
This looks really cool!! What a great addition to the area.
Oh, I just love farmer’s market. This time of year is my favorite because fresh fruit produce is coming back in season. Love that there are some located in SE Michigan.
