So how does the $5 off $30 Meijer Catalina promotion going on this week work? And if you’re having issues at your store, keep reading:
First, I know this is frustrating for quite a few of you, especially trying to figure out your deals. Then head to the store and your cat doesn’t print.
- The $5/$30 is not tied to ANY other promotion going on at Meijer. It’s just something in addition to all of the deals going on this week.
- YES, you should be getting the $5/$30 coupon if you spend $30 BEFORE taxes (unless you’re buying alcohol, gift cards, prescriptions or other items tied to the exclusion. See the front of the ad).
- YES, it’s best to split up your transactions in order to maximize the $5/$30 coupon.
- NO- this is NOT an mPerk coupon. It is not attached to your mPerk account. The promotion is listed on the front page of the Meijer Ad for this week.
- NO if you spend $60 in one transaction you will NOT get (2) $5 Catalinas.
- What is a Catalina? It is a coupon that will print out at the register in the little white box next to the register. Make sure the green light is lit. If not, you will definitely not get any Catalinas.
- NO this Catalina will not roll. This means if you take the $5 off coupon that you received and use it in another transaction, you will NOT get another one.
- The $5/$30 Catalinas are a ONE time ONE transaction use. That means when you go to redeem it- you can only use one of them in a transaction. If you have 5 to redeem, you will have to do 5 transactions in order to use them correctly. If you try to use all 5 in one transaction, the system will tell you no OR it will scan them BUT will NOT count nor deduct them.
- YES, if you are doing the P&G Deals where you spend $20 in Health & Beauty to get a $5 Catalina or $25 in Household to get a $5 Catalina- if you add more items to get to the $30 BEFORE taxes, you will still get TWO Catalinas.
- YES, you can use coupons with the $5/$30 Catalina offer. As long as you get to $30 BEFORE taxes and coupons, then put your coupons through you will get your $5 Cat.
- This Catalina offer is only valid this week (Saturday 8/1 – unless you’re in the Thursday Market. Then you will have till 8/5)
If your Catalina does not print and you met alllllllllll the requirements, go to Customer Service. Meijer/Corporate is aware that the system at a lot of stores are not working correctly. They were all supposed to be updated by Sunday afternoon. However, it’s Tuesday and some stores are still having issues.
If your store decides not to give you your entitled Catalinas, take it up with corporate. There is nothing any of us can do in here to help you resolve that, except redirect you to Corporate.
My store were already aware of the issue and handing $5 Gift Cards as directed by Corporate. Every store should be doing that, but unfortunately many of you are running into a snag. It has nothing to do with your coupons. It has everything to do with their system not working. And make SURE that the Catalina machine has the green light. If it doesn’t that could have been the culprit.
Sorry for the long post but there seems to be a lot of back and forth that is making more confusing.
I know many of you have done the P&G Pantene deal backwards and sideways with no problems. While others had issues.
Some stores will probably give you a hard time about trying to get your Catalinas. You will have to decide if it’s worth it to haggle with them, walk away or return the items.
