How Many Meijer mPerk Accounts Can You Have?
This issue comes up ALL the time. Especially when we have really, really GOOD mPerk offers. All of a sudden you see people with 15 bags of Hershey candy, 20 pairs of free shoes, etc. I can’t even begin to count how many people get into an argument about this issue.
Here’s the deal: How many mPerk accounts can you have?
Meijer gives you a clear answer. it’s PER phone, not PER household.
Now, does that mean you should abuse the system? NO!!!
But if you have a phone, the hubs has a phone, all of your kids have a phone (I sound like Oprah… everyone gets a phone), then you each can sign up for your own mPerk account.
Some people shop for their Parents, etc. I used to do this for my parents so they each had a mPerk account.
I try not to judge when I see someone grabbing 15 freebies because I don’t know their story. And it’s none of my business.
However, it kind of becomes our business when we see that same person selling these items on facebook groups/garage sells. Now that makes me mad. I always just hope that person is buying it all for the right reason.
It also becomes our business and why people get upset because those that abuse the system….ruins it for ALL of us.
But what can you do about it? If it’s on FB you can report the link to FB. Not saying anything is going to happen, but that’s a start. If you’re at a garage sale and you see stockpile items, you can actually call the police. But that’s up to you.
FYI for those might want to question if this is legal- technically, you are not supposed to sell items purchased with coupons (READ the coupon if you don’t believe). However, calling the police will probably not get you far, but I’ll leave that up to you. I personally don’t believe in being a coupon police, #aintnobodygottimeforthat but that’s up to you.
I think most of us will agree with this…. just don’t be greedy. Leave some for the next person.
And coupon responsibly.
Do unto others as you would have others do unto you. Because if the system continues to get abused, you won’t have these freebies, awesome mperks, etc, etc.
One thing to keep in mind when it comes to the Meijer Freebies. They are loss leaders, aka items to get you IN the store to shop. 99% of the time you will pick up more items. They do not expect or stock enough freebies for every single mPerk holder (EVEN if everyone only took one). It’s just a freebie, not the end of the world!
However, let’s squash the debate that it’s per household. It’s per person.
