Buy gift cards through Groupon. Watch for the occasional big promotion and deal to come through on Groupon that offers Starbucks gift cards at half price. Usually, they are only for $10 and have a limit of 2-5 per person, but it’s a great time to snag a good deal.

Buy a larger size and split with others. Instead of buying a drink for everyone in the family, buy one large drink then split into smaller cups. Everyone gets a taste of their favorite Starbucks drink, but you spend much less money.
Ask for Starbucks gift cards for birthdays and holidays. There is no shame in letting others know that you love Starbucks and would always appreciate a gift card if available for your birthday or the holidays. Drop hints to your parents, siblings or spouse if they typically buy you something as a gift.
