Meijer Meal Plan Week 7/21- 6 Meals $42
It’s a new week of bringing you these awesome budget-friendly meal planning for all of you Meijer Shoppers.
For this week the Meijer Matchups posted here on Fresh Outta Time, I’ve been able to come up with a whole week’s worth of dinners that will cost you less than $50, along with a few things from your pantry! You can also print out my FREE Meal Planning printables that will help you plan and organize your meals each week! (this is always super helpful for me!!)
- This is based on a family of 4-5- so you will need to adjust it accordingly for a bigger or smaller family.
- All items are on sale or part of the lower Meijer price. If you don’t have the pantry items, then you will need to add those into your final price.
Meal 1: Pork Shoulder Butt 2 Ways: Pulled Pork with Baked Beans $12.15
- 5 lb pork shoulder butt
- 6 cloves garlic, peeled (pantry)
- 2 t salt (pantry)
- 1 t pepper (pantry)
- 1 t dried oregano (pantry)
- 1 t chili powder (pantry)
- 1 bottle Kraft barbecue sauce, any variety
- 2 28 oz cans Meijer baked beans, any variety
- 1 pkg Meijer hamburger buns
Directions: Place the pork shoulder in a large slow cooker, fat side up. Rub the fat with all of the seasonings, cover, and set to low for 6-8 hours. Remove and shred, discarding any fat and bones. Place ½ of the meat in a container in the refrigerator for the next meal. To the remaining meat, place on buns and dress with the barbecue sauce to taste. Heat the beans in a large saucepan over medium heat, simmering 15 minutes.
Meal 2: Penne with Pork Red Sauce $2.40
- Leftover shredded pork
- 2 jars Meijer pasta sauce
- 1 box Meijer penne pasta
- Grated parmesan cheese (if desired)
Directions: Place the pork and pasta sauce in a slow cooker. Cover and set to low for 6-8 hours. Prepare the pasta as directed on the package. Serve the sauce over the pasta, topping with parmesan, if desired.
Meal 3: Grilled Jerk Chicken with Coconut Pineapple Rice $4.58
- 2 lb chicken thighs
- 1 t allspice (pantry)
- 1 t cumin (pantry)
- 1 t sugar (pantry)
- ½ t ground sage (pantry)
- ½ t thyme (pantry)
- ¼ t nutmeg (pantry)
- ¼ t salt (pantry)
- ¼ t cayenne pepper (pantry)
- 1 can Thai kitchen coconut milk
- 2 C rice (pantry)
- Water (pantry)
- 1 can Meijer crushed pineapple in juice, drained
Directions: In a small bowl, mix the spices. Sprinkle over the chicken and bake or grill until done throughout. About 20 minutes before serving, place the rice in a large saucepan. Measure the coconut milk and add water to make 4 cups. Add to the rice, as well as the drained pineapple. Cover and bring to a simmer for 15 minutes or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed. Serve the chicken over the rice.
Meal 4: Taco Bowls $7.55 {you can also check out this taco recipe: Recipe For Taco Cups {easy meal}
- 1 lb ground round
- 1 pkg Ortega taco seasoning, any variety
- 1 pkg Ortega Fiesta Flats
- ½ 16 oz tub Meijer sour cream
- ¼ head iceberg lettuce, shredded
- ½ pkg Meijer shredded cheddar cheese
- Directions: Brown and drain the ground round; add in the taco seasoning, following the package directions. Gently heat the Fiesta Flats in a 350°F oven for 3 minutes. Add the meat, lettuce, cheese, and sour cream.
- Meal 5: Italian Sausage Hoagies and Fries $8.96
- 1 pkg Meijer Italian sausage (sweet or hot)
- 2 green bell peppers, cut into strips
- 2 large onions, sliced thin (pantry)
- 1 pkg Aunt Millie’s sub rolls
- 1 bag Meijer French fries, any variety
Directions: Place the onions and peppers in a slow cooker. Add the sausages, cover, and set to low for 6-8 hours. Prepare the fries as directed. Serve the sausages in the buns topped with the onions and peppers.
Meal 6: Pork Chops with Broccoli $6.75 {another Pork Chop recipe to try: Porchetta Style Pork Chop Recipe}
- 1 ½ lb boneless pork loin chops
- Worcestershire sauce (pantry)
- 3 broccoli crowns
- Butter (pantry)
Directions: Season the chops with Worcestershire sauce and grill over medium heat until no pink remains in the center, turning over at least once. Steam the broccoli to desired doneness and serve with butter.
