Meijer Meal Planning Week 10/1: 6 Meals $40 Bucks

This is the week of 10/1 week of bringing you these awesome budget friendly meal planning for all of you Meijer Shoppers. You can find more Meijer Meal Planning ideas HERE
For this week, using the Favado App and our Meijer Matchups posted here on A Mitten Full Of Savings, I’ve been able to come up with a whole week’s worth of dinners that will cost you less than $50, along with a few things from your pantry! You can also print out my FREE Meal Planning printables that will help you plan and organize your meals each week! (this is always super helpful for me!!)
- This is based on a family of 4-5- so you will need to adjust it accordingly for a bigger or smaller family.
- All items are on sale or part of the lower Meijer price. If you don’t have the pantry items, then you will need to add those into your final price. (sale dates )
Meal 1: Coho Salmon and Salad $10.88
- 1 lb Coho salmon
- Salt and pepper (pantry)
- 1 lemon, cut into wedges if desired (pantry)
- 1 pkg Dole salad blend
- ½ greenhouse cucumber, sliced
- ½ lb tomatoes on the vine, chopped
- Salad dressing of choice (pantry)
Directions: Place the salmon on a baking sheet, skin side down. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and bake in a 400°F oven for 10-15 minutes, until fish flakes easily with a fork. Remove from oven and allow to sit for 5 minutes. Place the remaining ingredients in a bowl. Serve with the salmon and lemon
Meal 2: Italian Chicken with Sauteed Spinach and Baked Potatoes $8.15
- 4 lb whole chicken, rinsed
- 1 bottle Kraft Zesty Italian dressing
- 1 pkg Dole spinach
- 1 clove garlic, minced (pantry)
- 3 T olive oil (pantry)
- 4 Russet potatoes, scrubbed and pierced
- Butter (pantry)
Directions: Place the chicken in a baking dish and baste with the dressing. Bake in a 400°F oven for 1 ½ hours, basting every 15 minutes. After 30 minutes, place the potatoes in the oven. 10 minutes before serving, heat a saute pan over medium-high heat. Add the oil, garlic, and spinach. Saute until wilted, about 4 minutes. Refrigerate half of the chicken for the next meal.
Meal 3: Chicken and Pasta $2.49
- ½ leftover chicken, shredded
- 1 jar Meijer pasta sauce, any variety
- 1 box Meijer pasta, any variety
Directions: Place the chicken in a saucepan. Add the sauce and stir. Heat to simmering for 10 minutes. Prepare the pasta as directed on the package. Serve with parmesan, if desired.
Meal 4: Ribs and Mashers $7.98
- 2 lbs country ribs
- 3 onions, sliced (pantry)
- I pkg sliced Bella mushrooms
- 2 T butter (pantry)
- Salt and pepper (pantry)
- 4 T flour (pantry)
- ¼ C cold water (pantry)
- 2 ½ lb red potatoes, scrubbed and diced
- Milk (pantry)
- Butter (pantry)
Directions: Place the ribs, onions, and mushrooms in a slow cooker. Season with salt and pepper and butter. Cover and set to low for 6-8 hours. About 40 minutes before serving, place the potatoes in a saucepan and cover with water. Simmer for 20-30 minutes, until tender. Mash with milk and butter to desired consistency. Remove the meat from the slow cooker; shred the meat, discarding any fat and bones. In a small bowl, mix the flour and water until smooth. Add to the juices in the slow cooker, turning the heat to high. Stir and cook until thickened. Add the meat back in and serve over the mashers.
Meal 5: Ground Beef Stew $3.39
- 1 lb ground chuck
- 1 sweet potato, scrubbed and diced
- 1 onion, diced (pantry)
- 2 cloves garlic, diced (pantry)
- 2 ribs celery, diced (pantry)
- 2 carrots, diced (pantry)
- ½ lb Meijer fine egg noodles
Directions: Brown the ground beef with the onions and garlic in a stockpot. When no pink remains, drain any fat; add the potato, celery, and carrots. Add enough water to cover the ingredients, plus at least an inch. Simmer for 30-40 minutes, until all vegetables are tender. Replace any water that has evaporated. Add the noodles and simmer until done. Serve with crusty bread if desired.
Meal 6: Easy Garlic Bread Sausage Roll $7.50
- 1 lb Meijer chub sausage roll
- 1 16 oz pkg Kraft singles American cheese
- 1 loaf Cole garlic bread
Directions: Brown the sausage and drain. Melt the cheese in the sausage. Prepare the garlic bread as directed on the package. Stuff the bread with the sausage mixture and bake another minute or two. Cut into fourths and serve.
