Meijer Meal Planning Week 10/12 : 7 GF Meals Under $56
This is the week of bringing you these awesome budget friendly meal planning for all of you Meijer Shoppers and it’s all about Gluten Free Meals. I’m still working and tweaking this system, so if you have any feedback, please let me know! For this week, using the Favado App and our Meijer Matchups posted here on A Mitten Full Of Savings, I’ve been able to come up with a whole week’s worth of dinners that will cost you less than $56, along with a few things from your pantry! We aren’t talking everything from a box either! These are pretty healthy meals, at a low Meijer price that will be pretty quick and easy to make any night of the week. You can also print out my FREE Meal Planning printables that will help you plan and organize your meals each week! (this is always super helpful for me!!)
- This is based off of a family of 4-5- so you will need to adjust it accordingly for a bigger or smaller family.
- All items are on sale or part of the lower Meijer price. If you don’t have the pantry items, then you will need to add those into your final price. (sale dates 10/12-10/18 )

Meijer’s has a lot of great low prices on gluten free meal options, not only in the sale flyers but in their everyday prices. This gives us a great base for wonderful meals! Here’s 7 of my favorite gluten free meals for your family!
Meal 1: Turkey Chili Enchiladas $7.44
- 1 pkg Jennie-O ground turkey
- 2 medium onions, chopped (pantry)
- 2 T chili powder (pantry)
- 1 28 oz can Hunt’s diced tomatoes, drained
- 12 corn tortillas (pantry)
- 1 pkg shredded Mexican cheese
Directions: Saute the ground turkey with the onions, adding a bit of olive oil if needed to prevent sticking. Add the chili powder when the turkey is no longer pink and mix well. Heat oven to 375°F. Spray a 9×13 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Layer in the following order: tortillas, turkey, tomatoes, cheese. Repeat for a total of 3 layers. Bake, covered, for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 5 minutes. Serve hot.
Meal 2: Barbecued Chicken, Mashers, and Veggies $6.19
- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1 bottle barbecue sauce (pantry)
- 1 pkg Idahoan Mashed Potatoes (+ ingredients to prepare)
- 1 bag frozen Bird’s Eye vegetables, any variety
Directions: Place the chicken in a baking dish and cover with barbecue sauce. Cover with foil and bake in a 350°F oven for 1 ½ hours. Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes. Prepare the potatoes and vegetables according to package directions. Serve hot.
Meal 3: Teriyaki Salmon, Rice, and Veggies $8.24
- 1 lb salmon filet
- ¼ C soy sauce (pantry)
- 3 T brown sugar (pantry)
- 2 T garlic, minced (pantry)
- 3 T olive oil (pantry)
- 2 C rice (pantry)
- 4 C water
- 1 bag Green Giant vegetables
Directions: Place the salmon, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and olive oil in a plastic zippy bag. Coat well and let marinate overnight. Place the rice and water in a large saucepan. Cover and bring to a simmer for 20 minutes, until the water is absorbed. Place the salmon on a rimmed baking sheet. Bake in 425°F oven for 10 minutes or until salmon flakes easily with a fork. Prepare vegetables according to package directions. Serve hot.
Meal 4: Tuna Stuffed Tomatoes with Organic Greens $6.77
- 2 pkg Starkist chunk light tuna
- ¼ C ranch dressing (pantry)
- 2 lbs tomatoes on the vine, tops and seeds removed
- 1 5 oz pkg organic greens, any variety
- salad dressing of choice (pantry)
Directions: In a bowl, mix the tuna and dressing. Stuff the tomatoes with the mixture. Place the greens in a bowl and top with a tomato or two. Serve.
Meal 5: Spaghetti Squash with Sausage Sauce $7.98
- 1 spaghetti squash, seeds removed
- 1 pkg Johnsonville Italian sausage
- 1 45 oz Ragu pasta sauce, any flavor
Directions: Place the squash cut side down on a rimmed baking sheet. Bake in a 375°F oven until squash is fork-tender, about an hour. Turn cut side up and allow to cool slightly. Using a fork, flake the “spaghetti” and place in a bowl. While the squash is cooking, cut open the sausages and discard the casings. Saute in a pan until no pink remains. Place in a saucepan with the pasta sauce and bring to a simmer. Simmer lightly until the squash is done. Pour over flaked squash. Serve hot.
Meal 6: Pork Chops, Baked Potatoes, and Vegetables $7.44
- 4 Center cut pork loin chops
- 4 pats butter (pantry)
- 4 dashes Worcestershire sauce (pantry)
- salt and pepper (pantry)
- 4 large Russet potatoes
- butter (pantry)
- sour cream (pantry)
- 1 pkg Bird’s Eye frozen vegetables
Directions: Place the chops on a rimmed baking sheet. Top with a pat of butter, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper each. Allow to sit for about 45 minutes. Wash and poke the potatoes. Bake in a 425°F oven for about an hour, until the potatoes are soft throughout. Broil the chops, turning once, until no pink remains in the center. Cook the vegetables as desired. Serve hot.
Meal 7: Steak Salad $11.72
- 2 small petite steaks
- 1 5 oz pkg organic salad blend
- 1 lb tomatoes on the vine
- ½ pkg mini sweet peppers
- Salad dressing of your choice (pantry)
Directions: Grill or broil the steaks as desired. Cut into thin strips. Prepare a salad out of the rest of the ingredients. Top with the steak. Serve.
The total for this wonderful week of gluten free meals is $55.78!
