Meijer Meal Planning Week 12/3: 6 Meals For $33 Bucks

For this week, using the Favado App and our Meijer Matchups posted here on A Mitten Full Of Savings, I’ve been able to come up with a whole week’s worth of dinners that will cost you less than $50, along with a few things from your pantry! You can also print out my FREE Meal Planning printables that will help you plan and organize your meals each week! (this is always super helpful for me!!)
- This is based on a family of 4-5- so you will need to adjust it accordingly for a bigger or smaller family.
- All items are on sale or part of the lower Meijer price. If you don’t have the pantry items, then you will need to add those to your final price. (sale dates )
Meal 1: Hashbrown Sausage Bake $6.49
- 1 chub Meijer breakfast sausage
- 1 onion, diced (pantry)
- 1 bag Ore Ida hash browns
- 12 eggs
Directions: Lightly grease a 9×13 baking pan and spread the hash browns in it. Bake in a 350°F oven for 12 minutes, until it starts to brown. While the hash browns are baking, brown the breakfast sausage and onion; drain. Spread over the hash browns. Crack the eggs over the sausage, placing 3 along the 9-inch side and 4 along the 13-inch side in a grid pattern. Bake in a 350°F oven until the eggs are done to your liking, 5-10 minutes.
Meal 2: Butter Chicken with Rice and Green Beans $4.97
- 2 lb chicken thighs
- 1 pkg Kitchens of India Paste for Butter Chicken Curry
- 3 T butter, melted (pantry)
- 1 C water (pantry)
- 2 C rice (pantry)
- 4 C water (pantry)
- 1 pkg Meijer frozen green beans
Directions: Place the chicken in a slow cooker. In a bowl, mix the butter, water, and curry mix. Pour over the chicken, cover, and set to low for 6-8 hours. Place the rice and water in a saucepan. Cover and bring to a simmer for 20 minutes, or until water is absorbed and rice is tender. Prepare the beans to your liking.
Meal 3: Bacon Wrapped Pork Loin with Brussel Sprouts and Baked Potatoes $6.03
- 2 lb pork loin
- 6 oz Meijer bacon
- 1 lb Brussel sprouts, ends cut and outer leaves removed
- 2 T olive oil (pantry)
- 4 baking potatoes, scrubbed and pierced
Directions: Wrap the pork loin in bacon and place on a rimmed baking sheet. Bake in a 400°F oven until the internal temperature reaches at least 145°F in the center for medium, about 1 hour. Bake the potatoes at the same time, until they are tender when pierced with a fork. In a saute pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the Brussel sprouts and cook until slightly browned about 10 minutes. Serve with balsamic vinegar, if desired.
Meal 4: Tortellini with Red Sauce and Garlic Bread $5.48
- 1 bag Meijer frozen tortellini (meat or cheese)
- 1 jar Meijer pasta sauce, any variety
- 1 loaf Meijer frozen garlic bread (free!)
Directions: Boil the tortellini per the package directions. Heat the sauce in a saucepan. Bake the bread according to package directions.
Meal 5: Beef Vegetable Soup $5.99
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced (pantry)
- 2 cloves garlic, diced (pantry)
- 2 bags Meijer frozen mixed vegetables
- 1 box Meijer small shells pasta
Directions: Brown the ground beef, onion, and garlic. Drain. Place in a large pot and add the vegetables. Add enough water to cover by 2 inches. Season as desired with salt, pepper, oregano, basil, bay, etc. Simmer for 40 minutes. Add pasta and cook until tender.
Meal 6: Sausage, Red Beans, and Rice $3.47
- 1 pkg Oscar Mayer Naturals smoked sausage, cut into ½ inch pieces
- 1 onion, diced (pantry)
- 2 cans Meijer red beans, drained and rinsed
- 2 C rice (pantry)
- 4 C water (pantry)
- 2 T Tony Chachere’s Creole seasoning
Directions: In a deep saute pan, brown the sausage and onion. Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a simmer. Cover and simmer 20 minutes, until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed.
