Meijer Meal Planning Week 1/31 : 6 Meals Under $50

For this week, using the Favado App and our Meijer Matchups posted here on A Mitten Full Of Savings, I’ve been able to come up with a whole week’s worth of dinners that will cost you less than $50, along with a few things from your pantry! You can also print out my FREE Meal Planning printables that will help you plan and organize your meals each week! (this is always super helpful for me!!)
- This is based off of a family of 4-5- so you will need to adjust it accordingly for a bigger or smaller family.
- All items are on sale or part of the lower Meijer price. If you don’t have the pantry items, then you will need to add those into your final price. (sale dates )
It’s game day week at Meijer and there are some great sales happening. These six meals will help you take advantage of the low prices and keep some dough in your wallet!
Meal 1: Sloppy Joe Casserole $7.38
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 can Manwich sauce
- 1 bag Ore Ida hash browns
- 1 package Kraft shredded cheddar cheese
Directions: Brown the ground beef and drain. Add the Manwich sauce and simmer 5 minutes. In a greased 9×13 pan, sprinkle the hash browns and press into a crust. Top with the Manwich and bake in a 350°F oven for 25 minutes. Top with the cheese and bake another 5 minutes.
Meal 2: Blue Ribbon Chuck Roast with Rice and Vegetables $14.52
- 1 2.5 lb Chuck roast
- 2 packets Lipton Onion Soup Mix
- 1 can Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom Soup
- 1 pkg Knorr Rice Sides, any variety
- 1 bag Meijer frozen vegetables, any variety
Directions: Place the roast in a slow cooker. Sprinkle the roast with both packets of onion soup mix and spoon the mushroom soup over the top. Cover and set to low for 6-8 hours. Prepare the rice and vegetables per the package directions. Leftover roast to be used in tomorrow’s meal.
Meal 3: (Leftover) Beef Stroganoff $6.35
- 3 C leftover beef roast, shredded
- 1 8 oz white mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced (pantry)
- 1 onion, diced (pantry)
- 2 C beef stock
- ¼ C sour cream (pantry)
- 1 pkg Meijer egg noodles
Directions: Place the beef roast, mushrooms, garlic, onion, and stock in a slow cooker. Cover and set to low for 6-8 hours. Stir in sour cream and serve over cooked egg noodles.
Meal 4: Pulled Pork Sammies $9.44
- 2 lbs pork loin
- 1 bottle Sweet Baby Ray’s barbecue sauce
- 1 pkg hamburger buns
- 1 pkg Ore Ida Fries
Directions: Place the pork loin and barbecue sauce in a slow cooker. Cover and set to low for 6-8 hours. Remove the pork to a plate, separate the fat and discard, then shred the meat with two forks and return to the slow cooker. Cover and set to high for 10 minutes. Prepare the fires as directed on the package. Serve the meat on the buns as sandwiches.
Meal 5: Tikka Masala $5.58
- 2 lbs chicken thighs
- 1 pkg Saffron Road Tikka Masala sauce
- 2 C white rice (pantry)
- 4 C water (pantry)
- 1 pkg Meijer frozen vegetables, any variety
Directions: Place the chicken and sauce in a slow cooker. Cover and set to low for 6-8 hours. Prepare the rice by placing the rice and water in a saucepan, cover and simmer 20 minutes or until rice is tender. Prepare the vegetables per package directions.
Meal 6: Easy Pierogi Bake $6.90
- 2 pkgs Mrs. T’s Pierogies Classic Cheddar
- 1 jar Prego Alfredo sauce
- 1 bag Meijer Peas & Carrots or Spinach
Directions: In a greased casserole dish, place the frozen pierogies, sauce, and vegetables. Cover and bake in a 375°F oven for 45-50 minutes, until mixture is bubbly and pierogies are hot throughout. Serve with crusty bread, if desired.
Meals this week will keep your belly full and family happy, costing only $50.07, including the beef roast meal!
