This is the week of bringing you these awesome budget friendly meal planning for all of you Meijer Shoppers. You can find more Meijer Meal Planning ideas HERE
For this week, using the Favado App and our Meijer Matchups posted here on A Mitten Full Of Savings, I’ve been able to come up with a whole week’s worth of dinners that will cost you less than $50, along with a few things from your pantry! You can also print out my FREE Meal Planning printables that will help you plan and organize your meals each week! (this is always super helpful for me!!)
- This is based off of a family of 4-5- so you will need to adjust it accordingly for a bigger or smaller family.
- All items are on sale or part of the lower Meijer price. If you don’t have the pantry items, then you will need to add those into your final price. (sale dates )
It’s a great week to be a Meijer shopper! Dollar Days are back and there are some great deals in the grocery department! Check out these fantastic meals that will help you take advantage of the sales while feeding your family right!
Meal 1: Supreme Nachos $11.32
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 can El Paso refried beans
- 1 jar Meijer Naturals salsa
- 1 can Hunt’s petite diced tomatoes, drained
- 1 bag Meijer tortilla chips
- 1 pkg Meijer shredded cheddar
- 1 8 oz container Meijer sour cream
Directions: Brown the ground beef and drain. On a large baking sheet, place the tortilla chips. Top with the ground beef, refried beans, tomatoes, and cheddar. Bake in a 350°F oven for 10-15 minutes, until the cheese melts and the chips start to brown on the edges. Serve with sour cream and salsa.
Meal 2: Slow Cooker Garlic Chicken with roasted potatoes and vegetables $4.24
- 1 lbs chicken legs and thighs
- 1 bulb garlic, peeled (pantry)
- 2.5 lbs white potatoes, scrubbed and cut into ½ inch cubes
- 3 T olive oil (pantry)
- salt (pantry)
- 2 boxes Green Giant vegetables, any variety
Directions: Place the chicken in the slow cooker. Top with garlic, cover and set to low for 6-8 hours. Place the potatoes on a rimmed baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt. Roast in a 425°F oven for 20-30 minutes, until the potatoes are tender inside. Prepare the vegetables according to the package directions.
Meal 3: Smoked Sausage with Rice and Mango Salsa $2.94
- 1 pkg John Morrell smoked sausage, cut into ½ chunks
- 1 mango, peeled and diced
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1 T red onion, diced
- 1 T fresh cilantro, minced
- ½ C orange juice (pantry)
- 2 C rice (pantry)
- 4 C water
Directions: Place the mango, lime juice, onion, and cilantro in a small bowl; stir to mix and set aside. Place the rice and water in a pan. Cover and bring to a simmer for 20 minutes or until rice is tender. In a saute pan, place the sausage and brown over medium heat. Add the orange juice to deglaze the pan. Add the mango salsa, stir to coat, and remove to a bowl. Serve over steamed rice.
Meal 4: Shrimp and Spinach Salad $9.49
- 1 bag New Star Spinach
- 1 red pepper, diced
- ½ pkg white mushrooms, sliced
- 1 pkg Nature Sweet Sunburst tomatoes, halved
- 1 pkg Meijer salad shrimp (prepared per package)
- Salad dressing of choice (pantry)
Directions: Place the ingredients in a bowl. Top with dressing.
Meal 5: Slow Cooker Pork Loin with Mashers and Vegetables $5.68
- 2 lb pork loin
- 3 T lemon juice (pantry)
- 3 garlic cloves, minced (pantry)
- 1 t rosemary (pantry)
- 1 t parsley (pantry)
- ½ t thyme (pantry)
- ¼ t pepper (pantry)
- ¼ t salt (pantry)
- 2.5 lb white potatoes, scrubbed and cut into ½ inch dice (plus butter and milk)
- 2 boxes Green Giant vegetables, any variety
Directions: Place the pork loin in the slow cooker; top with lemon juice and seasonings. Cover and set to low for 6-8 hours. Place the potatoes in a pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil and simmer until potatoes are tender. Mash with butter and milk to desired consistency. Prepare the vegetables per the package directions.
Meal 6: Baked Pasta $7.98
- 1 lb ground beef, browned and drained
- 1 box Barilla Rigatoni or Ziti, cooked per package directions
- 2 cans Hunt’s pasta sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pkg Meijer shredded mozzarella cheese
Directions: Mix the garlic with the pasta sauce. Layer all ingredients but the cheese, starting with the sauce, in a large casserole dish. Top with cheese and cover. Bake in a 350°F oven for 45 minutes, until bubbling and cheese is melted.
This week, these delicious meals will only cost $41.64! What a great way to bring your family to the table and nourish them!
