Meijer Meal Planning Week 4/23: 6 Meals Under $36 Bucks

For this week, using the Favado App and our Meijer Matchups posted here on A Mitten Full Of Savings, I’ve been able to come up with a whole week’s worth of dinners that will cost you less than $50, along with a few things from your pantry! You can also print out my FREE Meal Planning printables that will help you plan and organize your meals each week! (this is always super helpful for me!!)
- This is based off of a family of 4-5- so you will need to adjust it accordingly for a bigger or smaller family.
- All items are on sale or part of the lower Meijer price. If you don’t have the pantry items, then you will need to add those into your final price. (sale dates )
There are some great sales at Meijer this week, and you can cash in on the savings with these 6 meals for your family!
Meal 1: Lemon Roasted Chicken with Sauteed Brussel Sprout Salad $6.26
- 2 lb boneless/skinless chicken breasts
- 1 lemon, sliced thin (pantry)
- 3 T butter, sliced thin (pantry)
- 1 lb Brussel sprouts
- 1 sweet onion, diced (pantry)
- 3 T olive oil (pantry)
- 2 T apple cider vinegar (pantry)
- Salt and pepper
Directions: Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish and top with lemon slices and butter. Cover with foil and bake in a 400°F oven for 1 hour, until no pink remains in the chicken. While the chicken is baking, cut the bottoms off the Brussel sprouts and remove a few outside leaves. Cut the sprouts in half and roast in a dry saute pan until browned and tender. Place in a bowl with the onion, oil, and vinegar. Season with salt and pepper. Serve with the chicken.
Meal 2: Slow Cooker Pork Chops with Zucchini $3.96
- 2 lb assorted pork chops
- 3 large onions (pantry)
- 2 lb zucchini and yellow squash, sliced ¼” thick
- 1 onion, sliced thin (pantry)
- 4 cloves garlic, sliced thin (pantry)
- 2 T olive oil (pantry)
Directions: Place the onions in a slow cooker and top with pork chops. Cover and set to low for 6-8 hours. In a saute pan, heat the olive oil over medium high heat. Add the squash, onion, and garlic. Saute until tender, about 5 minutes. Serve with the pork chops.
Meal 3: Brats and Fries $6.28
- 1 pkg Meijer brats
- 1 pkg Meijer hotdog buns
- 1 bag Meijer fries, any variety
- Condiments as desired (pantry)
Directions: Place the brats on a baking sheet and bake in a 425°F oven for 10 to 15 minutes, until the brats are browned and cooked throughout. Prepare the fries as directed on the package.
Meal 4: Spare Ribs with Corn on the Cob $7.39
- 2 lb St. Louis Style Spareribs
- 1 bottle Sweet Baby Ray’s barbecue sauce, any variety
- 4 ears corn on the cob, shucked and silk removed
- Butter (pantry)
Directions: Place the ribs in a slow cooker and pour at least half the barbecue sauce on top. Cover and set to low for 6-8 hours. Boil a large pot of water. When it at a rolling boil, add the corn and cook for 3 minutes. Serve with butter.
Meal 5: Baked Chili Cod with Lyonnaise Potatoes $5.49
- 1 lb cod fillets, thawed and patted dry
- 1 T chili powder
- ½ t salt
- 2 lb russet potatoes, sliced thin
- Olive oil (pantry)
- 2 lg onions, sliced thin (pantry)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced (pantry)
- 1 stick butter (pantry)
Directions: Place the potatoes, onions, and garlic in a large saute pan. Drizzle with olive oil and pan fry, turning occasionally, until they start to brown. Add the butter and allow to melt. Pan fry until golden brown and starting to crisp. Place the cod on a baking sheet. In a small bowl, mix the chili powder and salt. Sprinkle liberally over the cod. Bake in a 400°F oven for 10-15 minutes, until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
Meal 6: Ground Beef Pinwheels $5.99
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced (pantry)
- 1 clove garlic, minced (pantry)
- 1 C Kraft shredded sharp cheddar
- 1 tub Meijer crescent rolls
Directions: Brown the ground beef, onion, and garlic in a pan; drain off the drippings. Add the cheddar cheese and stir. Open the crescent rolls and roll out to merge the tear lines. Place the beef mixture along the long side. Roll up and seal, then slice into rounds and place on a baking sheet. Bake in a 400°F oven for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown.
