Meijer Meal Planning Week 5/17: 6 Meals Under $43

This is the  week of bringing you these awesome budget friendly meal planning for all of you Meijer Shoppers. You can find more Meijer Meal Planning ideas HERE 

For this week, using the Favado App and our Meijer Matchups posted here on A Mitten Full Of Savings, I’ve been able to come up with a whole week’s worth of dinners that will cost you less than $50, along with a few things from your pantry!   You can also print out my FREE Meal Planning printables that will help you plan and organize your meals each week! (this is always super helpful for me!!)

  • This is based off of a family of 4-5- so you will need to adjust it accordingly for a bigger or smaller family.
  • All items are on sale or part of the lower Meijer price. If you don’t have the pantry items, then you will need to add those into your final price. (sale dates 5/17 )

Memorial Day is coming up and the sales are heating up for the big day!  There are some amazing sales on things like ground chuck and ribs this week, and we’re taking advantage of them.  Here are 6 great meals to feed your family right this week.

Meal 1 – BBQ Ribs and Vidalia Salad $8.25

  • 2 lbs Pork Spare Ribs
  • 1 bottle bbq sauce
  • 2 lbs Vidalia onions, sliced thin
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced thin
  • ½  small container feta cheese
  • ¼ C olive oil (pantry)
  • 2 T white wine vinegar (pantry)
  • 2 T lemon juice (pantry)
  • ½ t oregano (pantry)
  • 2 T parsley (pantry)

Directions:  Grill or bake the ribs, turning and basting with barbecue sauce, with low heat until ribs are tender, about 30-40 minutes.  Mix the remaining ingredients in a bowl and chill.

Meal 2 – Brats and Corn on the Cob $4.77

  • 1 pkg Johnsonville Brats
  • 1 pkg Meijer hotdog buns
  • 8 ears bicolor corn
  • butter (pantry)

Directions: Remove the husks and silk from the corn.  Heat grill to medium high.  Place the brats and the corn on the grill.  Turn occasionally and remove when no pink remains in the brats and the corn is roasted.  Serve corn with butter.

Meal 3 – Beer Battered Fish and Fries  $6.49

  • 1 pkg Gorton’s Beer Battered fish
  • 1 bag Meijer frozen fries
  • ½ C mayonnaise (pantry)
  • 3 T pickle relish

Directions:  Prepare fish and fries according to the package directions.  Mix mayonnaise and relish to make tartar sauce.

Meal 4 – Buffalo Chicken and Coleslaw $8.97

  • 2 lbs Tyson frozen chicken breasts
  • 1 pkg Campbell’s Slow Cooker Sauce, Buffalo Chicken Flavor
  • 1 pkg Meijer hamburger buns
  • ½  tub Markets of Meijer Cole Slaw

Directions:  Place the chicken in the slow cooker and top with sauce. Cover and set to low for 6-8 hours.  Serve on hamburger buns with cole slaw.

Meal 5 – Bacon-Wrapped Hot Dogs with Baked Beans  $7.90

  • 1 pkg Ball Park Franks
  • 1 pkg Meijer bacon
  • 1 pkg Meijer hot dog buns
  • 2 cans Bush’s Grillin or Baked Beans

Directions:  Heat grill to medium-high.  Wrap a slice of bacon around each hot dog, securing with toothpicks.  Grill until bacon is crisp.  Heat beans until simmering.

Meal 6 – Easy Chicken Alfredo  $5.66

  • ½ Markets of Meijer rotisserie chicken, shredded
  • 1 jar Prego Alfredo sauce
  • 1 box Meijer green box pasta, any variety

Directions:  Boil a large pot of water and cook pasta according to package directions.  Heat the sauce in a saucepan and add in the chicken, stirring well.  Heat until simmering.  Serve the sauce and chicken over the pasta.

There you have it!  Six fantastic meals that bring in the best of summer for only $42.04!  Enjoy your week!
