Meijer Meal Planning Week 5/29: 6 Meals Under $39 ($10 for $10 sale)

This is the week of bringing you these awesome budget friendly meal planning for all of you Meijer Shoppers. You can find more Meijer Meal Planning ideas HERE
For this week, using the Favado App and our Meijer Matchups posted here on A Mitten Full Of Savings, I’ve been able to come up with a whole week’s worth of dinners that will cost you less than $50, along with a few things from your pantry! You can also print out my FREE Meal Planning printables that will help you plan and organize your meals each week! (this is always super helpful for me!!)
- This is based off of a family of 4-5- so you will need to adjust it accordingly for a bigger or smaller family.
- All items are on sale or part of the lower Meijer price. If you don’t have the pantry items, then you will need to add those into your final price. (sale dates )
This week is another 10 for $10 week at Meijer and meals this week take advantage of that! Check out the great recipes for this week.
Meal 1: Turkey Tacos $7.78
- 1 lb Jenny-O ground turkey
- 2 t chili powder (pantry)
- 1 ½ t paprika (pantry)
- 1 t onion powder (pantry)
- ½ t salt (pantry)
- ½ t garlic powder (pantry)
- ½ t cumin (pantry)
- ½ t oregano (pantry)
- ¼ t ground black pepper (pantry)
- 1 pkg Sargento shredded cheddar
- 1 pkg Meijer taco shells
- 1 can Ro-Tel tomatoes, drained
- 1 can Old El Paso Refried Beans
Directions: Brown the ground turkey until no pink remains. In a small bowl, mix the spices. Add to the browned turkey and mix well. Heat the beans until hot throughout. Serve as tacos.
Meal 2: Orange Glazed Salmon with Roasted Broccoli and Garlic Bread $7.99
- 1 pkg Meijer frozen salmon filets, thawed and patted dry
- ½ C orange juice
- ¼ C light brown sugar
- 1 clove garlic, peeled and minced
- 2 broccoli crowns, cut into florets
- 2 T olive oil (pantry)
- 1 Coles garlic bread loaf
Directions: In a small saucepan, place the orange juice, brown sugar, and garlic; bring to a simmer and boil until thick, about 4-5 minutes. Place the broccoli on a rimmed baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Place in 425°F oven for 20 minutes, until crisp-tender. While the broccoli is cooking, drizzle some olive oil in a saute pan over medium heat and add the salmon, skin side down. Cook 3-4 minutes, then turn and cook another 3-5 minutes. Turn skin side down again and drizzle with orange sauce, allowing it to glaze another minute. Remove to a serving platter. Prepare the garlic bread as directed on the package.
Meal 3: Baked Penne $6.98
- 1 lb ground chuck
- 1 box Meijer penne
- 2 jars Meijer pasta sauce, any variety
- 1 pkg Sargento shredded mozzarella
Directions: Brown the ground chuck until no pink remains. Drain and let cool. Prepare the penne pasta as directed on the package. In a 9×13 pan, place a layer of sauce to coat the bottom. Layer penne, meat, sauce, and cheese until the pan is full, ending with a cheese layer. (All of this can be done up to 2 days in advance, and you can freeze the meal at this point for later as well.) Cover with foil and bake in a 375°F oven for an hour.
Meal 4: Cassoulet with Salad $5.50
- 1 pkg John Morrel smoked sausage, cut into ½ inch chunks
- 1 onion, diced (pantry)
- 2 ribs celery, diced (pantry)
- 2 carrots, diced (pantry)
- 3 cloves garlic, diced (pantry)
- 1 T olive oil (pantry)
- 1 can Bush’s great northern beans, drained
- 1 can Bush’s dark red kidney beans, drained
- 1 can Hunt’s petite diced tomatoes, drained
- 1 bag Dole Salad Blend
- ½ greenhouse cucumber, chopped
- Salad dressing (pantry)
Directions: In a Dutch oven or small stock pot, place the olive oil, onion, ribs, carrots, and garlic. Saute until the onions are clear. Add the sausage and saute until hot and starting to brown. Add the beans and tomatoes; bring to a simmer for 10 minutes. Serve with salad made of salad blend, cucumber, and dressing of choice.
Meal 5: Italian Grilled Chicken with Glazed Carrots $5.98
- 2 lb boneless skinless chicken
- 1 bottle Meijer Italian dressing
- 1 bag baby carrots
- 3 T butter (pantry)
- 1 T honey (pantry)
Directions: Place the chicken in a gallon plastic zippy bag and add the dressing. Seal, pressing out the air, and coat the chicken. Allow to marinade in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Grill the chicken on a medium heat until no pink remains in the center, about 20-30 minutes, basting with marinade. Melt 1 T butter in a saute pan over medium heat and add the carrots. Saute until slightly browned and crisp-tender. Remove to a bowl and dot with butter and drizzle with honey. Once the butter is melted, stir well.
Meal 6: Parmesan Crusted Pork Chops with Pasta $4.98
- 2 lbs pork loin, cut into 4 chops
- 2 eggs, whisked (pantry)
- 1 C bread crumbs (pantry)
- ¾ C grated parmesan
- Salt and pepper (pantry)
- 6 T olive oil (pantry)
- 1 box Meijer angel hair pasta
- 1 jar Meijer pasta sauce, any variety
Directions: Place the eggs in a shallow bowl. In another shallow bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, parmesan, salt, and pepper. Heat a saute pan with 3 T olive oil over medium-heat. Coat the chops in egg, then in the crumb mixture. Place in the saute pan and cook until golden brown, turn over and brown the other side. The chops are done when no pink remains in the center. Prepare the sauce by bringing to a simmer in a sauce pan. Prepare the pasta according to the package directions.
