Meijer Meal Planning Week 7/29: 6 Meals $42 Bucks
It’s a new week of bringing you these awesome budget friendly meal planning for all of you Meijer Shoppers.
For this week the Meijer Matchups posted here on A Mitten Full Of Savings, I’ve been able to come up with a whole week’s worth of dinners that will cost you less than $50, along with a few things from your pantry! You can also print out my FREE Meal Planning printables that will help you plan and organize your meals each week! (this is always super helpful for me!!)
- This is based on a family of 4-5- so you will need to adjust it accordingly for a bigger or smaller family.
- All items are on sale or part of the lower Meijer price. If you don’t have the pantry items, then you will need to add those into your final price.
Meal 1: Slow Cooker Chicken Cordon Bleu $6.96
- 1 lb boneless/skinless chicken breast, cubed
- 3 C chicken stock (pantry)
- 1 lb Muellers rotini pasta
- ½ pkg Land O’Frost black forest ham, chopped
- 1 pkg Meijer shredded Swiss cheese
- 1 c half n half (pantry)
Directions: Place the chicken, ham, and stock in a slow cooker. Cover and set to low for 6 hours. Turn the slow cooker to high and add the rotini pasta. Cook for 10 minutes, or until the pasta is tender. Stir in the cheese and half n half until the cheese is melted. Serve with crusty bread, if desired.
Meal 2: Pulled Pork 2 Ways: Italian Night $14.22
- 7 lb pork shoulder butt
- 2 T dried oregano (pantry)
- 1 T basil (pantry)
- 1 t salt
- 1 t pepper
- 4 cloves garlic, peeled
- 1 pkg Meijer sesame seed hamburger buns
- 1 bag Meijer potato chips, any variety
Directions: Place the pork in a slow cooker; sprinkle with seasonings, cover, and set to low for 8-10 hours. Remove the pork from the cooker, shred, discarding any fat or bones; return half of the pork to the slow cooker, reserving the other half for the next meal. Serve the pork in the buns, with chips on the side.
Meal 3: Pulled Pork Sloppy Joes $3.29
- Leftover pulled pork
- 2 cans Manwich sauce, any variety
- 1 pkg Meijer hamburger buns
Directions: Heat the pork over medium heat until simmering. Add the Manwich sauce and simmer 10 minutes. Serve in the buns.
Meal 4: Sausage, Red Beans, and Rice $4.39
- 1 pkg Oscar Mayer natural smoked sausage, cut into ½ inch pieces
- 1 can Bush’s New Orleans style red beans
- 2 C rice (pantry)
- 4 C water (pantry)
Directions: In a Dutch oven, saute the sausage until it starts to brown. Add the remaining ingredients, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the water is absorbed and the rice is tender.
Meal 5: Taco Ring $6.24
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 pkg Meijer taco seasoning mix
- 1 pkg Meijer shredded cheddar
- 1 pkg Pillsbury crescent rolls
Directions: Brown the ground beef and drain. Add the seasoning and water, per the package directions. Open the crescent rolls and separate into triangles. Arrange in a circle on a rimmed baking sheet with the short side of the triangle to the inside of the circle. The dough should overlap slightly. Spoon the beef mixture on the half of the triangles closest to the circle. Sprinkle with cheese. Fold the points of the triangles over the beef and cheese mixture, sealing in the center. Bake in a 375°F oven for 20-25 minutes, until the rolls are cooked through. Serve hot.
Meal 6: Chicken Caesar Salad $6.88
- 1 lb boneless/skinless chicken breast
- 2 bags Dole chopped Caesar salad
Directions: Bake the chicken in a 375°F oven until done throughout. Cut into bite-sized pieces. Arrange the salad as directed on the package. Top with the chicken.
