Meijer Meal Planning Week 8/13: 6 Meals $43 Bucks

This is the week of 8/13, bringing you these awesome budget friendly meal planning for all of you Meijer Shoppers. You can find more Meijer Meal Planning ideas HERE
For this week, using the Favado App and our Meijer Matchups posted here on A Mitten Full Of Savings, I’ve been able to come up with a whole week’s worth of dinners that will cost you less than $50, along with a few things from your pantry! You can also print out my FREE Meal Planning printables that will help you plan and organize your meals each week! (this is always super helpful for me!!)
- This is based off of a family of 4-5- so you will need to adjust it accordingly for a bigger or smaller family.
- All items are on sale or part of the lower Meijer price. If you don’t have the pantry items, then you will need to add those into your final price. (sale dates )
Meal 1: Teriyaki Chicken Thighs with Sauteed Spinach $5.98
- 2 lbs boneless chicken thighs
- ¼ C soy sauce (pantry)
- 2 T honey (pantry)
- 2 T brown sugar (pantry)
- 3 T olive or sesame oil (pantry)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced (pantry)
- 1 bag New Star Spinach
- 2 T olive oil (pantry)
Directions: In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, olive/sesame oil, and garlic. Place the chicken in a slow cooker; pour the sauce mixture over the top, cover, and set to low for 6-8 hours. Heat the olive oil in a saute pan over medium heat. Add the spinach and saute for 2-3 minutes, until wilted.
Meal 2: Barbacoa Burrito Bowls $9.27
- 2 lb chuck roast
- 1 7 oz can chipotle in adobo sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced (pantry)
- 1 T ground cumin (pantry)
- 1 T dried oregano (pantry)
- Salt (pantry)
- Pepper (pantry)
- ¼ t ground cloves (pantry)
- Juice 1 lime (pantry)
- ½ pkg Meijer shredded cheddar jack cheese
- 2 C rice (pantry)
- 4 C water (pantry)
Directions: Place the chuck roast in a slow cooker. In a bowl, mix the chipotles with sauce, garlic, cumin, oregano, salt, pepper, cloves, and lime. Pour over roast, cover, and set to low for 6-8 hours. Remove, shred, discarding any fat, and return to the slow cooker, stirring in the juices. In a saucepan, place the water and rice. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes, until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed. Serve the meat over the rice with cheese.
Meal 3: Moroccan Salmon with Salad $8.99
- 1 lb salmon filet
- 1 lemon, juiced (pantry)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced (pantry)
- 1 t ground cumin (pantry)
- 1 t ground coriander (pantry)
- Salt (pantry)
- Pepper (pantry)
- 1 bag Dole Classic Romaine
- 1 greenhouse cucumber, sliced
- Salad dressing (pantry)
Directions: Place the salmon, skin side down, on a baking tray. Sprinkle with the lemon juice. In a bowl, mix the garlic, cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper. Coat the salmon. Bake in a 425°F oven until the fish flakes easily with a fork, 10-15 minutes. Mix the romaine and cucumber in a bowl with the dressing.
Meal 4: Grilled Pork Chops with Peaches and Rice a Roni $4.73
- 1 lb center cut bone in pork chops
- 1 lb ripe peaches, peeled and diced
- ½ sweet onion, diced
- 1 box Rice a Roni, any variety, plus ingredients per package
Directions: Place the peaches and onion in a saute pan and saute until the onion is tender. Set aside. Grill the pork chops over medium heat until no pink remains. Top with the peach salsa. Prepare the rice as directed on the package.
Meal 5: One Pan Lasagna $7.18
- 1 lb ground chuck
- 1 yellow onion, diced (pantry)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced (pantry)
- 2 28 oz cans Meijer diced tomatoes
- 1 box Meijer radiatore pasta
- 1 bag Meijer shredded mozzarella
Directions: Brown the ground chuck and onion in a large saute pan. Drain. Add the garlic and tomatoes, including the juice, as well as 1 can of water. Bring to a simmer. Season with oregano and basil to taste. Add the pasta, cover, and simmer until tender, about 10 minutes. Top with cheese and melt.
Meal 6: Turkey Burgers and Corn on the Cob $6.49
- 1 pkg Jennie-O ground turkey
- 1 clove garlic, minced (pantry)
- 1 small yellow onion, minced (pantry)
- 1 pkg Meijer hamburger buns
- 6 ears corn on the cob, shucked
- Butter (pantry
Directions: In a bowl, combine the turkey, garlic, and onion. Season with salt and pepper and form into patties. Grill or pan fry until no pink remains. Place in buns with desired condiments. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Boil the corn for 3 minutes and serve with the butter.
