Meijer Meal Planning Week 9/30: 6 Meals $40
It’s a new week of bringing you these awesome budget friendly meal planning for all of you Meijer Shoppers.
For this week the Meijer Matchups posted here on A Mitten Full Of Savings, I’ve been able to come up with a whole week’s worth of dinners that will cost you less than $50, along with a few things from your pantry! You can also print out my FREE Meal Planning printables that will help you plan and organize your meals each week! (this is always super helpful for me!!)
- This is based on a family of 4-5- so you will need to adjust it accordingly for a bigger or smaller family.
- All items are on sale or part of the lower Meijer price. If you don’t have the pantry items, then you will need to add those into your final price.
Meal 1: Turkey Breast and Sweet Potatoes $10.52
- 1 6 lb Meijer turkey breast
- Salt and pepper (pantry)
- Garlic powder (pantry)
- 2 lb sweet potatoes, scrubbed and pierced
- Butter (pantry)
- Cinnamon sugar, if desired (pantry)
Directions: Place the turkey breast in a roasting pan. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cover with foil and place in a 350°F for 1 ½ hours, until a thermometer in placed in the center of the breast reads 170°F. At the same time as the turkey, place the potatoes in the oven, baking for the full time or until tender when pierced with a fork. Serve the potatoes with butter and cinnamon sugar, if desired. Refrigerate leftover turkey for the next meal.
Meal 2: Turkey Caesar Salad $6.66
- 2 cups leftover turkey, shredded
- 2 bags Dole salad blends, any variety
- ½ lb Roma tomatoes, diced
- 1 cucumber, diced
- 1 bottle Meijer Caesar salad dressing
Directions: Place the turkey, salad blend, tomatoes, and cucumber in a bowl. Toss with dressing and serve.
Meal 3: Enchilada Bake $8.21
- 1 lb ground chuck
- 1 18 ct pkg La Banderita corn tortillas $1.25
- 1 pkg Meijer shredded cheddar
- 1 lg can Old El Paso red enchilada sauce
Directions: Brown the ground beef and drain. In a 9×13 baking dish, layer the corn tortillas, ground chuck, and cheddar, topping with a layer of tortillas, holding back ½ C of cheese. Pour the sauce over the top, sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake in a 350°F oven for 35-40 minutes, until bubbly and tender. Serve with sour cream, if desired.
Meal 4: Hot Dogs with Mac & Cheese $5.63
- 1 pkg Oscar Mayer hot dogs
- 1 pkg Meijer hot dog buns
- 2 boxes (from 5 ct pkg) Kraft Mac & Cheese
- Milk and butter, per package (pantry)
- Condiments, as desired (pantry)
Directions: Broil, bake, grill, or fry the hot dogs to the desired doneness. Prepare the macaroni and cheese per the package directions. Serve the hot dogs in the buns with the mac and cheese.
Meal 5: Creamy Chicken and Noodles $5.04
- 1 ½ lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 family size can Campbell’s cream of mushroom soup
- ¼ C milk (pantry)
- 1 box Meijer penne pasta
Directions: Place the chicken in a slow cooker. In a bowl, mix the soup and milk. Pour over chicken. Cover and set to low for 6-8 hours. About 30 minutes before serving, bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add pasta and cook until tender, according to the package directions. In a bowl, toss the pasta and chicken.
Meal 6: Pork Chops with Green Beans $4.32
- 1 ½ lb bone-in center cut pork chops
- Garlic powder (pantry)
- Seasoned salt (pantry)
- 1 pkg Birds Eye Steamfresh green beans
- Butter (pantry)
Directions: Place the pork chops on a broiler pan. Sprinkle with garlic powder and seasoned salt. Bake or broil until the center of the chops near the bone are no longer pink. Steam the beans per the package directions.
