This is the week of bringing you these awesome budget friendly meal planning for all of you Meijer Shoppers. You can find more Meijer Meal Planning ideas HERE
For this week, using the Favado App and our Meijer Matchups posted here on A Mitten Full Of Savings, I’ve been able to come up with a whole week’s worth of dinners that will cost you less than $50, along with a few things from your pantry! You can also print out my FREE Meal Planning printables that will help you plan and organize your meals each week! (this is always super helpful for me!!)
- This is based off of a family of 4-5- so you will need to adjust it accordingly for a bigger or smaller family.
- All items are on sale or part of the lower Meijer price. If you don’t have the pantry items, then you will need to add those into your final price. (sale dates )

Meal 1: Thyme Butter Chicken with Roasted Cauliflower $5.49
- 1 ½ lb boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 2 T butter, cut into pats
- 1 sprig fresh thyme
- 1 head cauliflower, cut into florets
Directions: Place the chicken in an ovenproof pan. Top with pats of butter and thyme, cover and bake in a 350°F oven for 1 ½ hours. Place the cauliflower on a rimmed baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Place on the lower rack of the oven for the last ½ hour of the chicken baking. Remove the chicken and increase heat to 425°F for another 10 minutes, or until cauliflower is tender and slightly browned.
Meal 2: Ground Beef Stew $6.73
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 can Hunt’s diced tomatoes
- 1 bag Meijer frozen stew vegetables
Directions: Break up the ground beef and place in a slow cooker. Top with tomatoes and vegetables. Add water to cover the ingredients, then cover and set to low for 6-8 hours. Season with oregano, salt, and pepper before serving.
Meal 3: Brats, Sauerkraut, and Potatoes $7.83
- 1 pkg Johnsonville brats
- 1 bag Meijer sauerkraut
- 2 ½ lbs red potatoes, scrubbed and cubed
Directions: Place the sauerkraut and potatoes in a slow cooker. Top with brats, cover, and set to low for 6-8 hours.
Meal 4: Steak and Salad $6.58
- 1 lb Eye of Round, cut into steaks
- 1 tub Earthbound Farms salad
- ½ lb greenhouse tomatoes, chopped
- 1 cucumber, chopped
- Salad dressing (pantry)
Directions: Grill or broil the steaks to desired doneness. Allow to rest and slice thin. Place the remaining ingredients in a bowl. Top with steak and serve with dressing.
Meal 5: Barbecue Ribs with Fries $7.47
- 2 lbs country ribs
- 1 bottle Open Pit barbecue sauce
- 1 pkg Ore-Ida fries
Directions: Place the ribs in a slow cooker, top with barbecue sauce, cover and set to low for 6-8 hours. Prepare the fries as directed on the package.
Meal 6: Lemon Pepper Baked Cod with Broccoli $5.49
- 1 pkg Meijer frozen cod, thawed and patted dry
- Lemon pepper
- 1 ½ lb broccoli, cut into florets
- 2 T butter
Directions: Place fish on a rimmed baking sheet and sprinkle liberally with lemon pepper. Bake in a 400°F oven for 10-15 minutes, until fish flakes easily with a fork. Steam the broccoli to desired doneness. Top with the butter.
