Meijer Meal Planning Week 9/21: 7 GF Meals Under $60

This is the week of bringing you these awesome budget friendly meal planning for all of you Meijer Shoppers and it’s all about Gluten Free Meals. I’m still working and tweaking this system, so if you have any feedback, please let me know! For this week, using the Favado App and our Meijer Matchups posted here on A Mitten Full Of Savings, I’ve been able to come up with a whole week’s worth of dinners that will cost you less than $60, along with a few things from your pantry! We aren’t talking everything from a box either! These are pretty healthy meals, at a low Meijer price that will be pretty quick and easy to make any night of the week. You can also print out my FREE Meal Planning printables that will help you plan and organize your meals each week! (this is always super helpful for me!!)
- This is based off of a family of 4-5- so you will need to adjust it accordingly for a bigger or smaller family.
- All items are on sale or part of the lower Meijer price. If you don’t have the pantry items, then you will need to add those into your final price. (sale dates 9/21 – 9/27 )
Meal 1: Turkey Burgers and Chips $7.79
- 2 lb Jennie-O ground turkey
- 2 garlic cloves, minced (pantry)
- salt and pepper (pantry)
- olive oil
- 1 head iceberg lettuce, separated into leaves
- 1 bag Meijer potato chips
Directions: In a bowl, mix the ground turkey, garlic, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 patties. Heat the olive oil in a large saute pan over medium high heat. Add the burgers and cook until completely cooked through, flipping once. Place in the lettuce and add your favorite toppings. Serve with chips.
Meal 2 – Turkey Vegetable Soup $3.40
- 1 lb Jennie-O ground turkey
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 can Meijer corn
1 can Meijer peas
1 can Meijer mixed veggies
1 pkg gluten free noodles (pantry, if desired)
Directions: In a large saucepan, saute the ground turkey and garlic until cooked through. Add the vegetables and cover with water. Simmer for 15 minutes. Add the noodles, if using, and cook until tender. Serve hot.
Meal 3 – Crock Pot Autumn Pork Loin Roast with Mashers $10.18
- 3 lb boneless pork loin
2 lb Bartlett pears, cut into quarters and cored
2 lb butternut squash, peeled, seeded, and cut into 1 inch cubes
2.5 lb red potatoes, cubed
milk (pantry)
butter (pantry)
Directions: Place the pork loin, pears, and squash in a large crock pot. Cover and set to low for 6-8 hours. Place the potatoes in a large saucepan and cover with water. Boil until tender. Mash with the milk and butter, as needed, and season with salt and pepper. Serve hot.
Meal 4 – Salmon and Salad $12.74
- 1 lb Atlantic Salmon
salt
pepper
2 avocados, seed removed, flesh cubed and removed from skin, tossed with 1 t lemon juice
1 honey crisp apple, diced, tossed with 1 t lemon juice
1 Dole salad blends, any variety
salad dressing of choice (pantry)
Directions: Place the salmon on a baking sheet and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place in 425°F oven for about 10 minutes, until the fish is flakey and tender. In a bowl, mix the avocados, apple, and salad mix. Serve with dressing.
Meal 5 – Chicken Mushroom Swiss Rollups with Parsley-ed Potatoes $9.43
- 1 lb thin sliced chicken breasts
¼ lb (4 slices) baby Swiss cheese (deli)
1 pkg Baby Bella mushrooms, sliced thin
2 T butter (pantry)
1 can Meijer Naturals diced tomatoes, drained
2.5 lbs red potatoes, cut into quarters
3 T butter, cut into patties (pantry)
3 T dried parsley (pantry)
Directions: Heat oven to 350°F. Saute the mushrooms in butter over medium high heat until they start to caramelize. Remove from heat and set aside. Place 4 slices of chicken on a baking sheet. Top with a slice of cheese and ¼ of the mushrooms. Starting at the short end, roll the chicken up into a tight roll. Cover with the tomatoes and bake 30-40 minutes, until no pink remains in the center of the chicken. In the meantime, place the potatoes in a saucepan of water and boil until tender. Drain and place in a serving bowl. Top with butter and parsley. Serve hot.
Meal 6 – Breakfast for Dinner $7.17
- 1 pkg Meijer breakfast sausage links
8 eggs
2 T butter (pantry)
1 lb grapes
1 lb honey crisp apples
Directions: Heat oven to 375°F. Place the sausages on a rimmed baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, until browned and cooked through, turning once. Cook the eggs to your liking, using the butter if needed. Serve with fruit.
Meal 7 – Stuffed Peppers with Salad $8.93
- 1 lb ground round
1 C rice (pantry)
4 green peppers, tops cut off and insides cleaned out
1 can Meijer Naturals diced tomatoes
1 bag Dole salad blend, any variety
1 pkg greenhouse baby cucumbers, sliced
2 Kumato tomatoes, diced
Salad dressing of your choice (pantry)
Directions: In a saucepan, place the rice and 2 cups of water. Cover and bring to a simmer for 20 minutes, until all of the water is absorbed. Mix the rice with the ground round and season to your liking. Fill the peppers with the meat mixture and place in a casserole dish so that all of the peppers are standing up. Cover with drained tomatoes and bake in a 350°F oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes, until center of meat mixture is no longer pink. In a bowl, toss the salad ingredients. Serve together.
