My Weekly Grocery Trips For Week 10/13-10/20
I haven’t posted my weekly deals since 10/9
Reason why? I didn’t need anything 🙂
Last week (week of 10/13) I did pick up a few things.
This is what I picked up
6 packs of Chicken Breasts from Target:
I love going to Target when they mark down their Chicken! I usually find the mark down prices on Thursday or Friday mornings.
Since Target’s grocery area is small they always mark down their meat and other grocery items down quickly to keep them moving.
So the Goldn’ Plump Chicken was on price cut for $5.39.
- There was a $2/1 Target coupon on the Chicken
- STACKED w/ a $1/1 Goldn’ Plump printable coupon
Final cost= $1.39! SCORE!
Plus I have a Target card so I received an additional 5% off.
So for 6 packs I paid close to $8 bucks. I had 3 packs of Chicken Breasts and 3 packs of Tenderloins!
I also grabbed a few produce items at Horrocks and spent $10 bucks
I also grabbed FREE Dawn Dish Detergent at Kroger!
They are on sale for $1.00 each (the smaller size 9 oz)
- Use the .50 cents/1 Dawn Dish Detergent coupon from 9/30
Final cost= FREE
*if you have the .25/1 one- then your final cost will be .50 cents!
This deal is still going on thru tomorrow 10/20! So go get yours! Definitely a stock up price!
I picked up 20 bottles! So a savings of a little over $20
Last night (10/19) I went to Kroger to grab two money makers- Lever 2000 Bar Soap (unfortunately my store was out of it, so I may try another store tomorrow)
Then the other one was the Red Gold Tomatoes which we love to use in Chili. I picked up 9 cans! So a savings of a little over $10 bucks!
So far this month I have spent ($59.42 in my 10/9 stockpile run) plus $8 bucks on Chicken and $10 on produce!
Running total for October 2013- $77.42
Not bad for this month so far! My monthly grocery budget is just under $300. Grant it, I do have a nice size stockpile that I have built up over the last few years. I try to keep it rotated and add to it slowly so I don’t run out of the essential items that our family uses.
So you’re probably wondering what do we eat every week? We have a garden so buying a lot of produce has been minimal.
I will start sharing my meal planning process starting next week!
I definitely believe that you and anyone else can truly cut your grocery bill in 1/2 or more with just a few simple tips and tricks!
My goal is to share what I do, so hopefully you can see my process and how it saves me MAJOR money on grocery and everything else all the time.
Alright, so stay tuned for my weekly planning menu starting next week!
