Back to School Fashion: Places to Shop Online for Kids’ School Clothes
The day the kids go back to school is rapidly approaching (mines actually just started this past Monday)! Have you begun shopping yet? Or are you one of those who wait until the last minute because you loathe the crowded malls? Thanks to the internet, back to school shopping has become much easier than it used to be. You can get most of it done online, and get great deals in the process.
Depending on the ages and sizes of your children, there are a few great places to start. Old Navy and the The Children’s Place tops my list at the moment. They’re frequently offering amazing sales, and many times they offer free shipping promotions too. I’ve scored t-shirts for three dollars there on plenty of occasions. I also picked up the best prices on Uniforms at Old Navy. ( I know Walmart carries the value packs as well, but I prefer a little more quality.)
Gymboree is also a fabulous place to shop for kids clothes. You can’t beat the quality, and they have really good sales too. You won’t want to miss the red balloon sale, where you’ll find $46 dresses for as little as $5, pajamas for as little as $7, and socks and accessories as low as 99 cents. Like The Children’s Place, Gymboree also offers promotional free shipping, and even a discount if you have a Gymboree credit card. Also owned by Gymboree is Crazy 8, which offers the same quality items at great prices.
Kohl’s is another one of my favorite places to find inexpensive kids’ clothes. I once got a snowsuit there on clearance for $12 that was regularly priced at $110. The clothes are name brand and of decent quality. If you have a Kohl’s card, you’ll do even better. Kohl’s cardholders regularly enjoy 30% off purchases.
If you can’t find anything at those stores, or for older kids, Target is a great place to shop. They also run good sales and frequent shipping promotions.
Don’t forget secondhand! ThredUp is an online consignment shop of sorts. You send them your gently used clothing and they give you credit toward more. They only sell brand name clothing in excellent condition. Like Kohls and Target, you can also find clothes at ThredUp for mom! After a long day of shopping (or mouse-clicking!), you deserve to treat yourself too!
This year, sit back, relax, pour yourself a cup of coffee, and see what online shopping has to offer. No lines, no fighting over parking spots, and best of all, it doesn’t matter if you are having a bad hair day! Happy Shopping!
