What is General Merchandise?

Here is the answer from Meijer:

General Merchandise is considered to be items not sold in the Grocery section of the store.

Meijer considers supermarket items to be those found in the traditional supermarket and general merchandise to be those not found in a traditional supermarket.

General Merchandise excludes the following*:

• Grocery, Household Consumables, Alcohol, Tobacco, Health and Beauty Care, Prescriptions, Gift Cards, Gas Stations and C-Stops, Lottery, Postage, Park & Entertainment Tickets, Prepaid Debit Cards & Reload Packs, In-store Businesses, Online Purchases, Licenses, Taxes, Protection Plans, Bottle Deposit, and the products found at the Meijer outlet store

*Please Note: Pet Products and Food, as well as Baby Diapers and Wipes, are considered supermarket products, and therefore excluded from General Merchandise. So, you cannot use the Meijer bucks on these items! 

Keep in mind the Meijer Bucks are store coupons, so you can STACK them w/ manufacturer coupons (if applicable).
AND if you have other store mPerks (these Meijer Bucks will stack w/ those other mPerks too!!)

*****These are a one time use. So once you use them from your account, they are gone. (You can check the store- usually, they have the weekend ad and Meijer bucks listed in the ad).

• You cannot use several Meijer Bucks on one item (like say you want to use a Meijer  Buck on a Television for $300. You will only be able to use ONE $20/1, Meijer Bucks.)
• You also cannot take several items that total $99.99 and use the $20 Meijer Bucks coupon. It’s one coupon on ONE item. NOT your total purchase.
• However, you can go back and use additional Meijer bucks from the sales ad if you need more Meijer bucks coupons. (but again one Meijer Bucks per item)
• YES, if you use  Meijer  Bucks, you can still earn personalized rewards. Personalized rewards are totaled based on the sale price, before coupons and other discounts!
• Another example- if you are buying something is $99.99, you can use a $20/1 Meijer Bucks. In that same transaction, if you have an item that is $49.99, you can also use a $10.00 Meijer Bucks coupon in the same transaction.
• YES, you can use them on a grill, basketball balls, basketball systems, electronics, movies, bikes, swimming pools, outdoor furniture, lawn chairs, plants, small appliances, etc.
• Yes, you can use them on Christmas decor items. Yes on iPads! Yes on T.V.s. Yes on clothes! Yes on shoes!
• Pretty much everything EXCEPT the kitchen sink (CLEARANCE,  groceries, diapers, cleaning supplies, gift cards, alcohol, money cards– you can read the full exclusions on your mPerks coupon!!)
• You cannot use Curbside with Meijer Bucks.
• You cannot use Shipt/Home Delivery with Meijer Bucks.
• YES- you will still get your OYNO Meijer Catalinas that are offered during this sale when you use the Meijer Bucks.

Here are a few deal ideas you can do stacking Meijer Bucks plus other offers:

We have this awesome 20% off ONE Toy mPerk coupon offer (ONE TIME USE) (FYI- several people stated they do not have this mPerk coupon, or they received a 15% off one instead. So be sure to check your account to see if you have it)

***again this 20% off Toy mPerk is a ONE TIME USE. Once you lose it, it’s GONE!

Second, we have a really nice toy Catalina offer going on:

Get a $10.00 OYNO Catalina when you buy $50 in Toys. (this can be a total amount of toys totaling $50– you don’t have to buy just one toy equaling $50. As long as it totals $50 before tax, you will get this Catalina offer)

Get a $25 OYNO Catalina when you buy $100 or more in toys. (this can be a total amount of toys totaling $100– you don’t have to buy just one toy equaling $100. As long as it totals $100 before tax, you will get this Catalina offer)

These offers are per transaction.

Now, in order to use this w/ the Meijer Bucks, the Meijer Bucks is off ONE, not a total amount. So, to combine these offers, you will need to select toys that are priced $50 or more, or $100 or more. 

***Do you have some personalized rewards you need to use? You can also use those towards this and save even more!! And yes, you will still get your Catalina to print. (Be sure the machine is working- and if you don’t get it, go to customer service BEFORE you leave the store).

**** if you have other Catalina offers, like the Meijer Pharmacy coupon or a Catalina from the AWESOME paper deal going on this week, you can use those as well to help bring your cost down, along w/ the Meijer Bucks and you will still get your Catalina to print.

**********As long as you meet the requirements, using coupons/mPerk offers to bring your total down, does not prohibit you from getting your Catalina.
