Savings Guide: What To Buy In June

Ahhh, summer is on its way. I am so excited about the weather, the get-togethers, the fun in the water, and well, everything that comes with summer!

June is one of my favorite summer months, too, because it is usually not over the top hot and yet, the weather is past those rainy days most of the week. I often think to myself, “Can I just move somewhere that is June all year long?”

One of the other reasons I love summer is all the awesome sales that happen. Here is the run-down of what you should buy in June.

What to Buy In June

Undies– This may seem silly, but many big stores like Victoria’s Secret run their semi-annual sales in June for bras, panties, and nightgowns. The new season’s stock is hitting the shelves then, so you can find some great deals on all those expensive bras you have been wanting.

Flip Flops– June is when Old Navy typically runs their flip flop blow-out sale and you can score them for just $1 each for all members of your family. There is usually a limit per person, so make sure to bring a friend.

Look for this sale starting from the second week in June to the last week as these are the times it has typically been held and be aware that it is usually a ONE DAY sale.

Dishes– Since wedding season is upon us and starting to peak, many companies and stores will slash prices on dishes and flatware to encourage you to buy. Y

ou can often find deals of 40-50%. Make sure you look for some deals that are only available online.

Tools– Since Father’s Day is this month, there may be some great deals on tools, but be careful as sometimes prices go up as well. Make sure to compare prices before you buy.

Tickets to movies– While there is actually a rise in the price overall during the warm months of summer, there are also some great deals that are promos as well.

You might be able to get in on special times and nights for dirt cheap prices. Subscribe to your local theater’s emails or texts to be alerted.

Allergy Meds– Sales on these are great this month as you will be happy to find Buy 1 get 1 50% off deals popping up. If you suffer from allergies, now is the month to buy them!

Seafood– Watch for a drop in prices on many seafood items both fresh and frozen.

Isn’t National Donut Day on June 6th? In the category above, “Groceries to buy in June” it says June 7th. You might have a few unhappy donut lovers on your list if they find out they missed it by one day….lol Our daughter was hit by a tornado on June 6th, 2010 and survived, so she said she will definitely be eating free donuts that day….lol

By the way, I am new to your site and am loving it!!
